It all started with our dog "Rockie", who was my inspiration. She loved the ocean and playing in the sand. I needed a blanket to protect our new carseat and our couch where she slept. It had to have a design that worked with our island decor.

So I made my own.

After many gifts to friends and family, I opened my shop on Etsy by the name of Barking Dog Blanket. named after Rockie, who loved to Bark!

They are handmade with Aloha in Hawaii. Love goes into every blanket because when you make something that makes people or animals happy it's the best feeling and I have to think that feeling is love. Most of my blanket designs are Island inspired , we support our local vendors and sell here in Hawaii, Mainland and Internationally.

The dream....to one day see our state of Hawaii support laws that prosecute the people who commit cruelty, abuse, and neglect of animals. To increase the budget for Spay and Neuter, to reduce the number of pets in shelters and to end unnecessary euthanasia. We are supporters of Animal Rescue and Animal Welfare organizations here in Hawaii and the Mainland. We donate funds raised from a portion of our blanket sales to assist these organizations to provide care and services for unwanted, abused and neglected animals.
